We all love a day at the spa to pamper ourselves with relaxing treatments. What if you could pamper yourself, get some exercise and fresh air, and support a worthy cause?
Jackson’s Ride the Gorge (July 12-13, 2008) is a weekend of cycling, pampering spa treatments, gourmet dining, and lots of outdoor entertainment activities at the beautiful Bonneville Resort and Spa
in the scenic Columbia River Gorge. This first year the event is open to the public with demo’s, music and food at the Marina Green Park at the Port of Hood River.
“When our son Jackson Hill passed away after a nineteen-month struggle against osteosarcoma (bone cancer), we wanted to do something in his memory,” explains Melissa Hill, Executive Director NW Sarcoma Foundation. “We wanted to combine a fund-raiser with treating participants to a spa treatment.” The proceeds benefit the NW Sarcoma Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting cancer patients and their families.
There are two levels of participation. For all of you spa-addicts, the Gold VIP Level Tour de Spa includes a pampering with the spa treatments of your choice at the beautiful Bonneville Resort and Spa. Registration fee for the “Tour de Spa” is $275, and your fund-raising goal is a minimum of $1,000 per registrant.
Gold Level participants enjoy their own VIP tent at check in, concierge service, bike valet and a complimentary continental breakfast. The Silver Level participants can choose to ride 25 miles, 100 K or 100 miles. The registration fee is $45 with a minimum fund-raising goal of $100 per registrant. Fund-raise with a team of friends, neighbors, and family (Silver Level 6th team member registration is free). The silver level participants can register up to the day of the event.
This is a fun, family-friendly event for a great cause. Get ready to roll!
